Autism
Day Program
Goals for today:
1. Unlock Potential.
2. Have Fun.
3. Make Friends.
4. Learn to love learning.
5. Be loved for being YOU.
Unlock your Child's Potential
Our Day Program is designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Licensed Professional Counselors who are Autism Experts. When choosing Social Space, you can feel confident knowing your child is getting access to the BEST learning program that can accelerate potential.
Make Friends
Each day your child will have constant social opportunity with other kids just like them. When you combine highly trained behavior therapists who are 1:1 and fully attentive to their assigned child, then multiple successful social interactions can occur each day. We love to see the kids in our program make a friend and sometimes even for the first time in their life.
Increase Functional Play
Inside every child is a deep desire to play. Our specialized and evidenced based play programs work because we utilize your child's current interests in relation to new play skills to develop interests in other socially appropriate play activities. Also, we all know that the happier our kids are while playing and the more variety they engage in, then the more time you have as a parent at home to breathe.
Learning how to Learn
The reason our teaching methods work so well, is we teach kids to love learning. We use their interests and motivations to develop the skills needed to be successful in school. Things like, staying seated, raising hands, increasing focus and on task attention, learning to respond to adult directives, and much more each day in our program.
Say Goodbye to Challenging Behavior
Board Certified Behavior Analysts specialize in identifying "why" your child engages in challenging behavior, and then create effective interventions for the behavior that can be utilized across all environments. We work diligently each day to reduce behaviors ranging from aggression, self-injury, property destruction, and running away. We rely on teaching your child socially appropriate ways to communicate to others rather than them relying on their current challenging behavior. When positive reinforcement is done correctly, children will learn that challenging behavior doesn't work to get their needs met, and that appropriate skills work far better...plus they enjoy the process. Win/Win.
